I’ve embedded in various cults, inside the Ukrainian government at the start of the war, filming deep within the inner circles of leadership. I’ve been around European princesses, the Columbia protest movement for months, filming as a director of photography on vérité docs. These projects landed on HBO, Netflix, Amazon, etc. My background is as a DP, but I also direct, edit, and produce—especially on more intimate, vérité-driven projects where I’m involved from start to finish.
My first documentary feature,
Handle with Extreme Care, explored the inner lives of funeral directors as they navigated the first wave of COVID with a gallows humor sensibility. I directed, shot, and edited the film, which premiered at Sheffield, went to IDFA, and is distributed by Journeyman Pictures. I’m currently deep in post on my second documentary feature and in pre-production on my first narrative feature with Hasan Oswald.
I also shot branded content for Gucci, Louis Vuitton, the Met Gala, and the MET Museum. I like to shoot, edit, and produce more straightforward things to keep the ship running. Whether it’s a corporate shoot or a clean branded piece, I’m there. Originally from South Florida, I spend weekends in Prospect Park, hitting up some good art, and hopefully dancing—if there’s any energy. I take pride in being low drama, on time, bringing a few laughs, but always locked in.
